"That's right, Ryder. I've collected almost all of them, but there's one that I'm missing..."

*Medusa picks up a suitcase with her hair and opens it. It is filled with gemstones in different shapes. One slot in the case is empty; it is shaped like a star*

"The Astral Stone. A stone with the power of the stars. I've been hunting for it for years, but I now know exactly where it is."

*She takes out an emerald cut in a swirl shape. It flashes, and a gust of wind flies toward Ryder*

"I won't let you take it! Full Change!"

*Ryder's left half turns silver, and her right half turns green with gold accents. The gust of wind bounces harmlessly off her*

"Cyclone X Metal!"

*She takes a small rod out of a holster on her back. It extends and becomes a quarterstaff*

"Metal Twister!"

*She swings the staff around in a circle at high speeds. A tornado forms around her*

*Medusa roots herself to the ground with her hair*

"You can't win, Ryder!"

*Medusa takes out a topaz in the shape of a crescent moon. Several crescent-shaped energy bolts fly out of it and home in on Ryder*

"Half Change!"

*Ryder's right side becomes gold*

"Luna X Metal!"

*She deflects the energy bolts with her quarterstaff*

"Metal Illusion!"

*She fires several rings of energy from her staff at Medusa*

*Medusa tries to dodge, but the rings home in on her. She is knocked down*

"Ouch..."

*Ryder approaches Medusa*

"Had enough?"

"I'm just getting started!"

*Medusa grabs Ryder's leg and throws her across the warehouse*

*Ryder crashes into a pile of wooden boxes, which break on impact*

"Ow..."

*She stands up*

"You don't know who you're messing with! Henshin! Ryder 000!"

*A rectangular device with three circular slots (henceforth known as the Driver) appears on her chest, and a ring-shaped device (henceforth the Scanner) appears in a holster at her hip. She places three different-colored medals (red, yellow, and green) into the Driver, then runs the Scanner over them.*

"Taka (Hawk)! Tora (Tiger)! Batta (Grasshopper)! TaToBa!"

*Ryder's suit changes dramatically. Her visor becomes red and hawk-shaped, her upper body becomes yellow, and her lower body becomes green. Retractable claws appear on her front legs*

"Hyaah!"

*Ryder jumps and swipes her claws at Medusa*

*Medusa blocks the claws with her hair, then knocks Ryder back*

*Ryder flips and lands on her feet. She switches the red medal in the Driver with a green one, then scans them again*

"Kuwagata (Stag Beetle)! Tora! Batta! GataToraBa!"

*Her visor becomes green, and she gains antennae*

"Gata Volt!"

*She shoots electricity from the antennae at Medusa*

*Medusa sticks her hair into the ground. The electricity passes through her and into the ground*

"Two can play at that game!"

*She picks up an amber shaped like a lightning bolt. It shoots electricity at Ryder*

*Ryder is hit with the lightning. She falls to her knees*

"Nngh... Looks like I can't win without a Combo..."

*Ryder switches the yellow medal in the Driver with a green one. She now has 3 green medals in the Driver. She scans them*

"Kuwagata! Kamakiri (Mantis)! Batta!"

*Her upper body becomes green. The claws are replaced with long blades that come out of her legs at 90-degree angles*

"Gata-Gata-GataKiriBa! Strength Combo: GataKiriBa!"

*Ryder stands and lets out a loud screech. She leaps at Medusa and slashes with her blades*

*Medusa narrowly dodges the attack*

"What in the...? What is this?"

*Medusa releases another bolt of electricity from the lightning-shaped amber*

"Duplicate! Branch Shade!"

*Ryder creates many copies of herself. The electricity hits a copy, and it vanishes*

"GataKiriBa Swarm!"

*The copies swarm around Medusa and pin her down*

"Gata Volt!"

*She shoots electricity at Medusa*

*Medusa is unable to move. She takes the full force of the electricity*

"Graaah!!!"

*She struggles to get up*

"No... I can't lose... Not to you!"

*She binds Ryder's legs with her hair*

"If... If I go down... I'm taking you... with me...!"

*Medusa takes out a mirror and stares into it. She begins to turn to crystal*

"When I turn somepony to crystal... Anything they're touching... also turns to crystal!"

*The crystallization completely overtakes Medusa's body. It begins to run down her hair towards Ryder*

*Ryder struggles, but fails to break free. Her legs begin to crystallize*

"No! Not again!"

*As the crystallization reaches the Driver, her transformation is undone, and she turns back into Valerie*

"Systole... Fusion... Libra... Somepony... HELP!!"

*Valerie's body completely crystallizes*

*Libra enters the warehouse*

"Ryder?! Are you-"

*She sees the crystallized Valerie and Medusa*

"Valerie..."

*She closes her eyes. A flash of light comes from her forehead*

"I have no choice... I have to use it..."

*A star-shaped stone, black as night and covered in points of light, emerges from her forehead. She places the stone against Valerie's head, and the crystallization is undone*

*Valerie wakes up*

"Uh... Huh? What... happened?"

*She notices the stone*

"That's... the Astral Stone!"

*Libra places the stone to her forehead, and it disappears into her head*

"The Astral Stone... is the source of my powers."

*She picks up Medusa's unconscious body*

"We'd better get Medusa to the police, before she wakes up."

"Okay... I think's a bit safer now."

*Systole reverts back to his regular ego.*

"The police station is next to the hospital."

*The group rushes to the police station, but it is locked with a solid metal door.*

"Oh... It needs a administrative permit to open it... Fortunately, my hospital card works fine."

*Miles swipes the card key. The door clicks, and he opens it to reveal the interior of the police facility under normal operations.*

*Valerie steps forward and flashes a badge to the receptionist*

"Private detective Valerie Orton. I need to speak with Investigator Shae."

Receptionist: "Investigator Shae is out right now. I'm not sure when he'll be back..."

*Shae walks in*

Receptionist: "Oh, there he is now. Investigator Shae! A Miss Valerie Orton to see you."

*Shae looks annoyed*

"Ugh... Fine. Meet me in my office, Orton."

*Valerie turns to Miles and Luminosa*

"Bring Medusa to the warden. I need to speak with the Investigator."

*She goes into Shae's office*

*Shae closes the door and the blinds. It is very dark in his office*

"So, you brought in Medusa. How'd it happen? I need details."

"Well, I was hot on Medusa's trail, trying to figure out what she was after. A couple of the Power Ponies showed up. Systole, Fusion, Libra, and Ryder, I believe. Ryder started fighting with Medusa, and she hid in a warehouse. Ryder followed her in. Medusa started using these weird gems that shot out water, wind, electricity... stuff like that. Ryder knocked Medusa out using some sort of cloning attack, but then Medusa grabbed onto Ryder's legs and turned herself and Ryder into crystal. Libra somehow undid the crystallization, then asked me to bring Medusa in. Miles used his keycard to let me into the police office, and... here I am."
