*Twilight is studying a book on dragons, when someone knocks on the door*

"Who could that be?"

*Twilight opens the door*

"You're Twilight Sparkle, right? May I come in?"

*Twilight is a bit surprised at Rhindani's wings, but pretends not to notice*

"Sure, come on in. How did you know my name?"

"I've heard a lot about you. You're quite the collector, am I right?"

"Yes, that's true. I collect many rare books from all over Equestria. In fact, my assistant, Spike, should be back any minute with another addition."

*Spike walks in*

"I got that book you wanted, Twi. 'The Complete Guide to Hybrid Creatures', right? I'm surprised that you're going to all this trouble to find out more about that Eclipse guy."

*Spike notices Rhindani for the first time*

"Sure you-- Wait. Rhindani, is that you?"

"Spike! I can't believe I didn't recognize you at first! How've you been, kid?"

"I've been doing great! How about you?"

"Spike, you know this pony?"

"Actually, she's a Draconequus. I met her at the last dragon migration."

"Draconequus... You mean, she's like Discord?"

"Discord... His name has become taboo among my kind. Discord was originally a Draconequus much like me. He tried to attain dark powers beyond mortal control, and he lost his sanity as well as his natural form. The remaining pure Draconequus shunned him, and he began to take over Equestria. You know the rest of the story."

"Your kind... There's other Draconequus other than you?"

"Yes. Very few know of them. They hide away from civilization, in a place not even Celestia's light reaches. A place that we call the Sanctum."

*Rhindani looks out the window at the sun*

"I was... different from the others. I hated the hiding. I wanted to go out, explore, see the world. One day, I escaped the Sanctum. I've been traveling all over Equestria ever since."

"Wow. That's some story. Are you traveling in search for anything in particular?"

"Adventure. Excitement. Life in the Sanctum was mind-numbingly boring. I knew I didn't belong there. That's why I left... part of the reason, anyway."

*Rhindani turns sideways to Twilight*

"You see my flank? It's blank, but it shouldn't be. Even Draconequus get cutie marks, or 'pobon' in our language. I'm also searching for my own pobon."

"Well, I wish you the best of luck. I'm sorry, but I really need to get back to my studies. I hope you enjoy your time in Ponyville, Rhindani."

"Want me to show you around, Rhindani?"

"That's a great idea, Spike! I do need some peace and quiet..."

"Great! Follow me. I'll show you all the hot spots around town!"

*Spike leads Rhindani outside*

*After a while...*

"Hey, didn't you say you were practicing a type of Draconequus magic last time we met? How has that been going?"

"It's been going fantastically! I've already learned a few spells. Watch!"

*Rhindani turns away from Spike, closes her eyes, and begins an incantation*

"Svant svern... Edar vhir... Bekir irsa... Thirku adon jivi!"

*Rhindani's dragon wings fade away, and her eyes turn from dragon eyes to pony eyes*

"What do you think? I look pretty good as a pony, don't I?"

"How did you do that? That was amazing!"

"Before the Draconequus went into hiding, they walked among normal ponies. They used that spell to hide their draconic features."

*Rhindani closes her eyes and begins another incantation*

"Versvesh suaco... Wielgir oposs... Qanescir siksta... Zarlathil adon Darasjivi!"

*Her wings return, and her eyes go back to normal*

"This is one of the most basic spells, but I'm proud of myself for being able to cast it."

*They arrive back at Golden Oaks*

"So, what are you going to do now?"

"You know, I have a feeling that I'll find a lot of excitement here. I'm gonna stay in Ponyville for a while. I'd better go get a room at the hotel. See you later, Spike!"

*Rhindani walks off*

"Great timing, Spike. I want you to deliver these books to Mr. Radian."

*Twilight gives Spike a bundle of books*

"Pony Psychology... Equestrian History: 25th Edition... Anatomy & Physiology of Equines... Wow, most of these books are super-advanced!"

"Well, you know Mr. Radian. He's one of the smartest ponies around."

*Spike brings the books to Sine's house and knocks on the door*

"Yes...?"

*Glances at the books.*

"Oh, Thank you, Spike! Here, I'll grab these books for you since they are extremely heavy, you look quite exhausted from lifting them too."

*He grabs the stack and and places it besides the entrance in the house.*
