Filly Wonka and the Cupcake Factory

Excerpt from my soon-to-be-released fanfic "Filly Wonka and the Cupcake Factory"


"Only once a year, on her birthday, did Apple Bloom ever get to taste a cupcake. The whole family saved up their money for that special occasion, and when the great day arrived, Apple Bloom was always presented with one small cupcake to eat all by herself. And each time she received it, on those marvelous birthday mornings, she would place it carefully in a small wooden box that she owned, and treasure it as though it were made of solid gold; and for the next few days, she would allow herself only to look at it, but never to touch it. Then at last, when she could stand it no longer, she would lick off just a tiny amount of the frosting, and then she would take a tiny nibble of the cake, just enough to allow the lovely taste to spread out slowly over her tongue. The next day, she would eat another tiny bit, and so on, and so on. And in this way, Apple Bloom would make her two-bit birthday cupcake last her for more than a month."

This is a parody of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" by Roald Dahl. I do not own the rights to the original work. This story has been released without intent to profit from it.

Anyways, the idea just came to me during lunch the other day. I don't have much else but that excerpt done. I'll probably release it one chapter at a time as I finish them.

I've decided on the names for the characters. I'm not going to have Apple Bloom as the main character anymore. Instead, we have:

Sweet Tooth, the obsessive eater


Spearmint, the gum-chewer


Diamond Tiara, the spoiled brat (I'm looking forward to taking her out )


Telly Tube, the TV watcher


And...

Robert Rags, the good kid.


I'm going to omit the Rags family, except for Grandpa Christopher, who goes with Robert to the factory.

Filly Wonka's assistants are going to be Parasprites (trained ones that don't multiply like mad).

I love the design for Spearmint. It's sporty, yet girly. Just how I imagine her character to be.

Why are they all Earth ponies? Just wondering.

Because I forgot to make them different. I might have liked to make Sweet Tooth a unicorn and Spearmint a pegasus, but I can't be bothered to redesign them.
